Splice
Splice explores the exterior and its opacity, the skin as a ‘territory,’ and the boundaries that define interior and exterior. Latex, glass, light, and pillows are employed repetitively within rational systems of ordering, yet biological corrosion stains the surface, disrupting this order.
A grid bulges, spills, erupts, and tips—defying its own rational structure. Light and transparency reveal an expansive interior beneath the surface, where the divisions between inside and outside dissolve. We are neither fully in nor out, but rather suspended in between.
