The international studio at Queen’s College, University of Melbourne, offered 360-degree views across the city and beyond. Its high vaulted ceilings and gothic windows framed the significant trees surrounding the studio. These towering sentinels became the subjects of They Stand Tall, a series of latex castings that trace the patterns, textures, and nuances of the trees’ bark.
